Congratulations to the 2020 Mel Fox Scholarship Recipient Aidan Palmer!
Aidan, a cross country, track, and field athlete graduated from Franklin High School this spring. Aidan is a dedicated cross county runner who’s work ethic and determination shows through in his practice and his competition.
Athletics and the track and filed team at Franklin High were a draw for Aidan in his freshman year. The dedication and competition drew him into the sport and led him to spend the next four years competing. As a valuable team leader Aidan has many accolades in the running community including placing fourth in state in 2018 for the 1500 meter run at All-State and 52nd in the nation at Nike Cross Nationals.
Along with being a fierce competitor on the track Aidan is also a dedicated student. As a part of the newly formed Franklin Athletic Leadership Council he was able to use the lessons learned on the field and apply them directly to is broader study and community involvment.
Aidan will be attending Boise State University in the Fall where he plans to continue to run cross country along side the pursuit of his academic goals.
